Christmas Jumper Day 2021

Christmas Jumper Day is this Friday, 10th December. This is an annual event that helps raise funds for the charity Save the Children.

This year will be Save the Children’s 10th Christmas Jumper Day and Bernard Sims Associates will be getting involved by wearing our jazziest Christmas jumpers and donating towards such a worthy cause.

The information on the Save the Children Charity has been taken from the ‘Save the Children’ website.

What is Christmas Jumper Day?
Since 2012, people have been wearing their jazziest jumpers for one Friday in December, they donate £2 to the Save the Children charity and raise money to help protect the magic for children around the world.

What do Save the Children Do?
Save the Children support children to learn, grow and become who they want to be. They support children with their Education, Food, and Medicine.
They work in homes, nurseries, schools, and communities to narrow the gap between children living in poverty and their better-off classmates.

When COVID-19 hit, UK children’s lives were turned upside down. To help, they started an Emergency Grant for the worst-affected families. So far it has helped more than 10,000 of Britain’s poorest children with early-learning packs, food vouchers, and other essentials.

In 2020, Save the Children helped 45 million children across the world get the medicine, good food, and education they need. They are 600,000 supporters, alongside families, nurses, teachers, and other workers. They believe that children shouldn’t be defined by their situation, but by who they are and what they can be.
