Construction workers

About us

Bernard Sims Associates is one of the country’s longest-established independent health and safety consultancies operating UK wide.

At BSA we’re committed to keeping people safe in all kinds of workplaces. Our services go beyond simply avoiding accidents and the cost and lost time they incur. We help shape peoples’ attitudes and understanding and help with creating a safety culture that reduces costs and downtime, keeps people safe and increases their well-being and productivity.

We are here to work with you at every stage, providing expert and practical advice to help protect, ensure compliance and add value to your business.

Our services are:

  • Health and Safety Consultants
  • Principal Designers
  • Principal Designer Assist
  • Client Assist
  • Construction Health and Safety Consultants
  • Fire Risk Assessors
  • Health and Safety Trainers

We know that health and safety can sometimes appear onerous and restrictive. As specialists in this complex field, we’re the voice of reason and common sense. We’re not here to add to your problems and pressures, but to help give you peace of mind and take some problems away. We provide advice and support to ensure compliance with the necessary regulations whilst recognising the challenges of cost, quality, programme and aesthetics.

Within our team of friendly, experienced professionals, we have a huge range of specialist knowledge and experience. We’re here to share it with you, providing accurate, reliable and up-to-date information, suggestions and practical advice every stage and level within your organisation.

Established in 1995, we operate across the UK, with offices in Guildford, Manchester, Leeds and Lichfield and other locations in Scotland, Wales and the South West.

Building on our experience to deliver safe, innovative projects, always through integrity, passion, respect and transparency in all we do

Our Team

Health & Safety is ultimately about people. Which is why our team are so important to us, and our clients. It goes without saying that they have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the relevant rules and regs, and years of experience in the industries they work with. What sets them apart is that they also bring their common sense, instinct and intuition to your project. As well as applying the letter of the law, they judge people and situations individually and on their own merits, looking beyond legislation to the bigger picture and what you’re actually trying to achieve. A team dedicated to making things possible.
